流變/Metamorphosis

We usually use photographs as a way to recording. However, a photograph seems only reveal the moments when the photograph is taken, and it is flat. It can not save every sensation at that time, nor can it re-record the changes to the memories as time goes by. The person in the photograph might not exist anymore; the plants in the photograph might have grown into different shapes; the old house in the picture might have been renovated several times; you can no longer remember the fallen fruit has hit you or someone else. Looking at a same photograph again in different time and space background; it is mixed with different feelings and even different memories.
Therefore, I folded photographs as tactile objects, as if memories distorte and disformate as the time passes by. The folding of photograph paper is like memories, some parts are still clear, some parts are hidden under the shadow; the other parts might be covered, twisted or entangled with other new memories. These folding, splicing, rearrangement constitute the shape of time.
