《身後璀璨 》系列作品啟發自歐洲教堂裡的壁畫與中古世紀的插畫背景，並延續我對「背景」空間的關注。

 

當我們在觀看圖像時通常會著重於主角，而背景是比較容易被人忽略的部份。這系列作品把主角與前景抽離，挪用原作背景重複排列的圖形符號，讓「背景」成為新的主角。

 

每一個符號以工整緩慢的方式描繪，試圖在耗時的創作行為中理解、並經驗過去僧侶與匠人在繪畫過程中所尋求之精神上的專注與純粹性。

Glory Behind series are inspires by the murals in the churches and the background of illuminations, which continue my interest in background and negative space.

When we look at an image, we usually tend to focus on the main characters instead of the background. This series of works separate the foreground and background. I appropriated the background from those murals and illuminations, made the repetitive patterns new main characters.

Each symbol is depicted slowly, I tried to experience the spirituality and pure state of monks and craftsmen back in the old time.
